Still waiting to hear from Dell Tech Support who tell me they are looking into this. I also tried tweaking the default 59.975 Hz refresh rate (you'd think this was close enough, right?) to 60.000 Hz but also no joy. Sounds like one part of the sync circuit isn't talking to another part and each thinks it has a different resolution locked in. I have tried changing the advanced timing of the Nvidia board from CVT timing standard to CVT-RB timing which is meant for LCD displays but that didn't help. Interestingly, during it's "fuzzy mode" the icons and desktop are properly displayed and proportioned to the 1920x1200 but the OSD indicates the display resolution is 1600x1200. I have to change to a different resolution on the desktop and then back to 1920x1200 to get it to lock in clearly at 1920x1200.

Additional manual auto-adjusts at that point do not fix it. Auto-adjusts seem to happen at random boot-ups or restarts (maybe 1/3 of the times) and when they do the 1920x1200 screen has fuzzy text.
